After an hour drive toward the middle of nowhere, parking our car on the side of the highway, and hopping in the bed of a random pickup truck, we finally made it to our destination.  To say that a beautiful picture could be shot any way you turned would be a complete understatement.  I absolutely regret having only brought 3 rolls of film, but I had to make due with what I had.

A special thank you goes out the wonderful farmer that offered to take part in my pictures! I’m already looking forward to next year, in which I can have myself a proper shoot at this incredible farm!

You really do change every time you make one of these big trips.  You learn more about yourself.. what you’re capable of.. what you’ve come to enjoy.. as well as those things that you could do without.  Each trip is an new adventure.. opening up your eyes to a world completely different from your own.

Although you come to love this endless knowledge gained from traveling and exploring.. there’s always that soft spot in your heart for home.

Next stop.. Dubai!

You never know what will spark an idea, filling your imagination with an endless supply of inspiration.  It could stem from a trip to your favorite coffee shop, a conversation with an old friend, or an excerpt from a fiction novel found during a trip out of town.  It’s important to keep those creative juices flowing, even if there’s no end product in sight.  One idea leads to the next, and so on and so forth.  Before you know it, you’re portfolio will have been graced by a completely new set of work.. all thanks to that unforced concept originating from something so inconsequential.

Allow your mind to wander, and yield to those “unrealistic” dreams.. and you will have seen the world in a much different light.

At the beginning of last month, I approached Annie Cat (Joe’s wife).. and asked her for permission to take her portrait.  If there’s one thing in the world that Joe cherishes more than anything else, it’s Annie!  She graciously agreed to help me out, and I immediately went to the drawing board.  I knew that I wanted to photograph her in a natural setting, and keep the styling very clean and organic.  Aside from being an extremely wonderful person, Annie can pull off any look you throw at her.  I told her I just wanted her hair down, light to no makeup, and her everyday wardrobe.

Once we got to the location, she threw on her jacket..  the collar flipped up and immediately caught my eye.  I shot only 2 rolls of film on my Rolleiflex, and knew that I had achieved what I wanted for Joe’s Christmas present.

Thank you to both Annie and Joe for all that you have done for me in the past two and half years.. I couldn’t be more grateful for such amazing role models.

It’s safe to say that Dave and I have become family over the past few years.. all stemming from our time spent at college.  We quickly became inseparable.. always biking, shooting, and cooking together!  After only a few short months, I was introduced to the love of his life.. Chelsea.  The two of us became friends just as quick as Dave and I, and I immediately saw how in love these two were.  When you even mention Chelsea’s name in conversation, you can just see where this amazing guy’s heart really is.

I am so proud of the two of these amazing individuals, and I am even more proud that they thought of me during such a wonderful occasion.  To say that I am honored to know these two would be a dramatic understatement, and I wish both of them all the best during their adventure into love.  Chelsea and Dave.. I love you both so much!

Once again, Joe asked me to bring my film camera’s along to capture the wedding day of these two!  Between the fun wedding party, and a vast array of beautiful backdrops, I couldn’t stop taking pictures!  I’ve decided to ramp up the amount of photos in this post compared to what I usually show, especially since this was one of the most fun weddings I’ve been a part of!
